Brian Halpin

I’m a full-stack web developer specializing in building and maintaining scalable production applications using Next.js, TypeScript, MySQL, and modern cloud infrastructure. I’ve worked across multiple full-featured platforms, contributing both independently and within collaborative teams to deliver reliable, high-quality web applications.

Most recently, I’ve taken on a Lead Developer role overseeing code quality and production infrastructure across several active projects. I manage and deploy production applications through Vercel, maintain and optimize databases on PlanetScale, and oversee cloud infrastructure including AWS EC2 and S3. I also manage development and staging environments on Heroku and conduct code reviews to ensure consistency, performance, and long-term maintainability across codebases.

My experience spans both maintaining complex legacy systems and building new applications from the ground up. I’ve developed custom content management systems, led the development of content-driven websites and admin dashboards, and helped guide projects from planning through deployment and ongoing support.

I’m driven by a strong interest in problem solving, system design, and continuous improvement. I enjoy tackling complex technical challenges, refining existing systems, and building tools that make both products and teams more effective.

I earned a Full Stack Web Development certificate from Rutgers University in 2022 and have continued expanding my skill set through hands-on development across modern frameworks, databases, and cloud platforms. Today, I focus on delivering dependable, scalable applications and contributing meaningful technical leadership wherever I work.
